Thanks, I'm not a fan but I was quite to get it, if it wouldn't be on a branded app.
I'd checked some of them and the drawings and colors looks nice, too.
I do have the tablet, but still unwilling to use that kind of services.

The batman bundle redeems on globalcomix.com, as far as I can see.

I'm undecided. Not keen on them being locked to an app/site, and I have bought some of them in paper, but it does still seem like good value.

I'm also contemplating the Astro City and Fantagraphics bundles, which at least have the decency to provide PDFs.

I'm a one that doesn't -yet- knows of these sites, discovering now; that one seems nice! I mean, other than having a lot of content, it gives quick previews too.
The Batman serie from 2011-2016 looks amazing; also

Some of Batman's most memorable early 1990s adventures are back in this new collection!

If it allows downloads I gladly think about too.

We seem to be in disagreement about the term "download". Does "download" mean "GlobalComix will give you a DRM-free PDF/EPUB/CBZ that you can read outside of the app?" Or does "download" just mean "You can download an encrypted blob containing the comic to your local storage device and only read it within the app"?

Given that these are comics, It's trivial to get the pages into another format without DRM. You just have to do screen grabs.

Having bought it, from the web pages there is not any download available option, althought it can be said the reading has a panel view (not animated, btw).
I'll install the app on tablet, but thought I don't expect it will allow to download (physically) the bundle.
Btw, it's still a nice sale. I also don't know, at the moment, if the app can be used offline, once having registered, like the Kindle app does iirc.

Offline reading of purchased content is only possible if you have a Gold subscription, because offline reading of anything on GlobalComix is only possible with a Gold subscription.

There is an exception: GlobalComix allows Creators to sell PDFs of their work. Which DC has not chosen to do.

As near as I can tell, what you're getting with the Batman Humble Bundle is a license to read those books on GlobalComix for as long GlobalComix exists. (It's possible that DC could pull the content from GlobalComix before then however, and it's unclear what would happen in that circumstance.)
