I HATE it, the (governments,cities,banks,shops and to many more) try to force you to buy a smartphone with android,i grow sick of the get it on the app store.
And if i get one i cant remove the crap google put on it the LEGAL INTEREST links.that no doubt pay for the service.and using data i have to buy,NO THANKS.
On a comic note my wife get ads for viagra,guess a small AI fault.

I don't mind two pages as long as there is a reason for it. As an example, you have multiple accounts with the same website (they are all in a list) so you select the one you want to use, then it goes to the password page so you an enter the password for that specific account. But I agree that it should be one page where you enter the Username and Password if you only have one account on that website.

I don't see any validity to that reasoning for two screens instead of one.

I somehow managed to turn a brand-new workbook in Excel to 10mb (that's big) and very freezy. I didn't even have a chance to put any data into it. I opened it up with 7-zip and the xml file for the one sheet was like 111 mb uncompressed. I think I somehow managed to apply formatting to every single unused cell.

Just select the upper left corner (whole sheet) and remove all formatting.

You might be able to export it as a .csv and then re-import it. I had to do that one time and after using Notepad++ to clean it up, worked again.

You can try selecting the rectangular section with your data, copy and paste (without formatting) into a new spreadsheet.

Since the spreadsheet hadn't even data put in (just a sorting-table setup) I just made a new one lol.

Was recently trying to cleanup some TV show episodes downloaded from The Internet Archive in the time-honored '[uploader_name]the.show.name.episode.01.title.of.the.episode.[extraneous_crap].mkv' naming scheme, and get it into a format that my Kodi media player would properly recognize and scrape metadata for. I love Kodi, but the fact that it needs that strict '[Show Name] (Year) - S01E01' file-pattern to work properly is still a PITA.

I spent several hours searching online in vain for a tool that was free, Linux compatible, and didn't have some stupid restrictions on the 'free' tier (like '15 renames per day') in favor of a paid/subscription tier.

Finally I threw up my hands in frustration and just asked had Gemini help me write a short, bespoke shell script to do the renames via perl or sed. It's not highly reusable, but, screw it--I'm not gonna pay $XX/mth for a glorified file-rename-as-a-service that I'm gonna use maybe twice a year.
