I suppose one can always hope that a connector is simply a bit loose and not quite sitting correctly - if you decide to take it apart.

I just noticed something interesting: when the horizontal lines appear, if I turn the pages quickly and then return to the same page, the lines disappear completely. They don't come back afterward, and the screen remains perfectly clear. Does this behavior give any clue about the cause of the problem?
