Some epubs were delivered to my kindle in their original layout

When i send to my kindle some epubs with the "Send to Kindle" feature, i received an email with this message:

We weren’t able to make the layout adjustable for this document because its formatting is incompatible with Kindle’s reflowable layout, so we delivered it with its original layout preserved (similar to PDF). You won’t be able to change the text size or how the text flows on the page.

Basically Amazon treats the epub like a pdf. I tried to convert epub to epub, same. What do you suggest i do?

That's a disaster waiting to happen. What you need to do is to try to figure out what in the ePub Amazon dislikes.

Load the ePub into calibre's editor and remove all unused CSS and then in a code block, post the CSS so we can see what might be the problem.

Jon, some of the issues may not be with the CSS but with ePub attributes and tags that are not supported by whatever format Amazon is converting the ePub to.

A scrambled version of the original ePub rather than the truncated CSS is a better option for finding any issues.

Amazon is converting the ePub to KFX if the Kindle supports it.

I've received 2 files from S2K that were converted to .mobi. Not sure what the reason was and I didn't care enough to spend the time.

Check the Attributes and Tags Supported by Enhanced Typesetting page for more information.

Try conversion from EPUB to EPUB in Calibre. Blog "Świat Czytników" (World of E-Readers in Polish) found out that the*problem's*caused by a*combo*of a language*that's*not supported by Send to Kindle and*extra*attributes in the <dc:language> element.
You can read whole entry here (it's in Polish, but translators these days make it easy &#128578:

I converted the epub to mobi then to epub, no email came. Guys, if you find yourselves in a similar position, first try to convert epub to epub, then try to epub -> mobi -> epub. Thanks for the help.

Try changing the language as said in that Polish blog post. That's something a conversion won't change. What language is this book?
