Iirc it doesn't literally spoils the plot; I guess if it might have been a synopsis made by an artificial intelligence, without having read the book.

I recently discovered Vatta's War series by Elizabeth Moon and bought and read books 1-4 almost back to back. Now I've discovered that the fifth and final book is only available from audible in UK. So pissed off! What is the publisher thinking?

There's a following series called Vatta's Peace but I'm extremely reluctant to even look at it.

The problem is that Victory Conditions may only be available in the US. It's not available as an eBook in the UK.

You can go to either Kobo.com or eBooks.com and travel to the US and then purchase the eBook.

It's too difficult to travel using Google. But Kobo or eBooks.com make it very easy to travel.

When the only high-res image book cover available is a photo someone made to sell it on ebay or whatever. Sometimes with flash reflections. Yuck.

I blame this on cell phones becoming hammers ("when all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail").

The vast majority of images captured are now done with cell phone cameras, even if there are better tools (like a flatbed scanner for book covers). People even use them as copiers (take a picture of a document with their cell phone and then print it out).

Hundreds of photos of computer screens. People forgot the printscreen key exists. It drives me crazy.

People forget that TEXT exists.

I have a Metabo desktop drill press that I don't use enough.
It's a very solid thing and I can rubber-band my cell phone to it.
Then I have a nice perpendicular, solid shot with adjustable height.
I can use a Bluetooth keyboard to take a shot so that I don't shake anything.

What book is this? I can get AI to take a lower resolution image and make it suitable.

Cellphone camera have become good. The problem could be the person taking the photo.

If I was taking a photo of a book cover and got an image smeared with the flash, I'd either turn up the light or move to a room with more light to take the picture.
