Not sure what programs can support it, but maybe within "supersampling" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supersampling) ?
Also, while taking a screenshoot, the image token would be not downscaled (as it will be directly taken from the video card, not from the screen-then-downscaled output - iirc). Today's video cards might have also options as for anti-aliasing or as for to improve images whitin deep learnig AI's. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_scaling https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compar...ing_algorithms |

I have found that if AI doesn't know something or has no detail in pictures, it invents something. I asked copilot about university teachers and if it couldn't find a record of them it invented something. I wouldn't use it for anything requiring accuracy without checking myself. The Sea Devils was quite humorous how it twiddled the hair instead of eyes....

I used Meta AI. It's image handling is actually pretty good.
I like this one better as the mess behind the color doesn't look good to me. |

Another good use for AI is fixing the cover. You can remove blurbs, sticker, banners, etc. you don't want and you'd never notice what you removed was ever there.

And yet another really good use for AI.
Converting PDF to ePub. It's works rather well. |

I have one book converted to ePub from PDF and it looks good. I double checked the first two chapters and the paragraphs are correct. I cannot say all the words are correct. But I'll find out once I read it.

The question should be did the PDF have a text later or not? If it had a text later then it's not a surprise that AI could perform an accurate ePub conversion.

They are inherently plagiarism machines and never reliably list the source. They may list a similar source, or a fictitious one, if they cite at all. So the AI doesn't need to be "fixing" the OCR layer in a PDF. Internet Archive is a great AI fan, yet their epubs are simply the uncorrected OCR layer of the PDF and are rubbish. |

The LLM operators are attempting to ingest all books. They have consumed so many that you would need to test with many PDFs never yet on the internet of books not yet published.

If I can find a book in PDF and an ePub version, I could try a PDF > ePub and then do a compare of the two ePub versions.
