Find in all text files not working?
I opened an epub in Calibre editor and tried Findong some text in the entire book, but that didn't work as expected. It popped up a window saying No matches were found. But if I open the specific file that contains the text I searched for (a simple word) and choose Current file instead of All text files it does find it. With that file open switching back to All text files it shows that error popup dialog again.

This is with Calibre 9.13 (upgrading now to 9.14, I don't expect this issue to be fixed in that version, according to the changelog).

all text files only searches TEXT files, aka files under the Text section in the files browser. Was the current file such a file?

You have to open the OPF and select current file to search in it. It's a bug, It's how search is designed.

Then you need to select all files or current file. All TEXT files will do exactly what it says on the tin and not search OPF files

It is a file that uses plain TEXT, just like CSS.
In this context, it means the content ON the pages (Calibre / Sigil default to the Text folder in the book.
IMHO Makes total usage sense. replace (class=)"foo" with "bar" for files but do not touch the CSS or NDX
