Calibre DeDRM problem

I use German Onleihe (public library online) on my tablet. It dl's an acsm link which I then open in PocketBook reader, still on the tablet. No calibre here though.

So I installed Calibre 3.84 on a Win7 PC (don't ask) plus Alf 6.xx. I copied the epubs from the tablet's PBR directory to the PC and imported one into Calibre. Err... no success. Cannot manually add my ADE in the appropriate dialogue either.

What is my mistake here? Does Calibre have to reside on the same device I originally linked via the acsm to get the book? Boy, it's blxxdy complicated. Thanks for any help!

If you're using ADE, then yes, calibre and ADE must be on the same computer. Alternatively you can use the ACSM plugin, you won't need ADE then.

And copying epubs from the Pocketbook app is not the way to deDRM them. You must either use ADE or the ACSM plugin. In the latter case you must import the acsm file into calibre, not the epub.
