I first tried de-drm with Linux, I couldn't get it to work and couldn't find info on how to do it either. In general, unless you already are an expert, Windows is going to be the better option.

Printbooks have the costs of print on demand and lower royalties, so that a e-book that costs $2.99 makes more for the author than a paperback that costs $9.99. $2.99 is still pretty cheap (few authors that I have seen, have the normal price that low) The royalties sink lower on a book under $2.99 or if the customer if from certain countries.

Depending on how money is sent to an author, he probably won't get all of it either and I think most of them prefer the extra sale statistic on amazon and the convenience than having the extra money.

Any decent paper pack in a shop here (not super popular supermarket discount) is about €16 to €20.
Only supermarket discount is €9.99
POD is hardly possible at €9.99

Ebooks
At 99c the seller takes 70%. At €2.99 the Author might get 70%. Many ebooks are €3.99.

So it depends.

@Martinoptic Ok dit not know that.Technically it stay illegal use ,even if it works.LOL "the personalization features will be restricted " would be a plus. Tanks anyway.
