Silliness Ministry Limericks

In the chat box, VR said something that I was convinced should have been a limerick. Now in traditional Ministry of Unutterable Silliness tradition, I have single handedly decided to take this silly idea, run with it simultaneously off a cliff and into a brick wall, revise it, reject it, forget it, fall asleep, wake up, drink a bit too much and thereby come back to the Lounge to start a new thread...

So here is a limerick inspired by a member of the Ministry:

There was a young dude from down under
for whom words never ever went asunder
of silliness he spoke,
and alcohol betōōk
to make of himself a venerable wonder

I await submissions from others.

(I know there is a User Poetry section in the Writer's Corner, but this just didn't feel right there -- far too many in-jokes...)

Well, thanks to slightly too much white burgundy, the following made its way into my head, took one look around at its new surroundings and promptly insisted on being released into the Lounge....

There is a young lady in France
whose cats, with red dots, love to dance
and by the SHUMs actions
is driven to distractions
so she skewers them all with a lance.

rooms flooded whenever it rained
The rent was so cheap
she put up with the leak
and ergo, it's where she remains.

There's a queen in Paree owns a Sony
She denies it though no one knows why
She has got her reasons
And after a season
She won't say a thing but deny...

It's got all kinds of shapes and (uh) forrrrms

It's got diff'rent hairdos
It is infectious too
But it's still clearly well under quorum
