Clone Sage to new Libra
I read on my Sage but the device is showing its age (battery life isn't very good and it locks up with some regularity). Because I can't find a replacement Sage, I decided to buy a Libra Color as a backup device. I'm going to keep using my Sage until it becomes too unusable. In the meantime, I'd like to set my Libra Color up as a more or less immediate ready-to-go replacement. So, what I'm looking to do is find a way to copy all of the books on my Sage -- along with the status of whether the book has been read -- to my new Libra Color. I do use Calibre so if that's the easiest way, that isn't a problem. It would be easy enough to just send all of the books from Calibre to the new Libra Color but I'd lose the information about whether a book had been previously read and I'd like to retain that information on the new Libra Color.

Why not use the Kobo Utilities calibre plugin to save the reading status from the Kobo and then update the info on to the new Kobo.

I improved the Sage battery life with this method:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh....php?p=4590734 I also recently bought a PW and jailbreaked it. It's the closest you'll get to a Libra BW. |

Thanks. That may be the perfect solution. To be honest, even though I've used a Sage for years, I've never really played around with the Kobo Utilities plugin in Calibre. Sounds like a weekend project...

It might work on other Kobo models but only the Sage and the original Elipsa have the Allwinner B300 quad-core CPU and the power management for that chipset sucks.
