Two Suggestions

1 - Allow nulling out a date or number column in the booklist when the tweaks are set to change by hitting enter. I am unable to clear out a date when I try and do it like that. I have to open the edit metadata box and locate the column and manually clear it out - not fun when I could just hit enter or something.

2 - Allow y/n columns to be managed in the tags browser if possible - put y/n columns IN the tags browser. If I want to clear out an entire y/n column or ONLY select y or ONLY select n - it requires a full search OR Selecting all the books and clearning it out manually.

I use a y/n column for duplicates. Basically when doing a cross library check if the other book is in the library I mark the duplicart "y" - if I then want to know which books are NOT duplicates - I have to do a search for "false" and then Mark those books.

If the y/n was managed in the tag browser I could just "manage" it and clear out all the books without having to do a huge select on my library to do it, then I can also see at a glance how many books are "y" and how many are "n" and how many are not either.

So....clear out date and number columns individually within the booklist when changing values and hitting enter to change a single cell,

move y/n columns into the tag browser.

PLEASE?

Bulk metadata edit with books selected. search field. for: .+ replace (leave blank)

Thanks for the "F2"

I already do the whole select the books and clear them out with edit but that's a pain.

I actually made a restricted item column. It shows in the tag browser and I was able to indicate the parameters the duplicate matched on too, so it's better.

cid,gr,isbn,t/a,not a dupe

(i made my own identifier "cid" which is "Calibre ID" and copy over the calibre id for the book in my main library over, so when I copy that book to other libraries the identifier never changes. It makes matching easier. Goodreads is a good one, but they have been changing their identifiers, I should have used ASIN too (I'll have to go and fix that)

If you have to search for duplicates in other libraries often, why use separate libraries at all? It would be much easier to use one physical library with various virtual libraries.

The find dups PI can do a Find Library Dups (between the current and another that Calible knows about) I use it before merging my intake Library into my Main Library
