Part of me loves this guy... Granted I'm not a big fan of laser cutting/etching as it has just become another way traditional woodworking is being usurped by automation... But it still is fun...

Anyone notice it is up to $67.22? I'm hoping it sells for more then a Kindle... Then again, eBay might get a DMCA takedown notice before the auction ends... Really, what is stopping someone from etching Harry Potter or Stephen King onto the Kindling?

Absolutely nothing. Quoting small portions of a book (eg a single page) for "illustrative purposes" constitutes "fair use".

I would not recommend it. The rumor is that amazon can activate a remote DMCA kill switch to have it spontaneously inflame.
