Storefront plugin?
Does anyone know about or have opinions on the Storefront plugin? I ran into it and it apparently lists out the various plugins available for Koreader and can install/remove/update then etc.
Thanks in advance. |

Do you mean this one: https://github.com/omer-faruq/appstore.koplugin/ ?
I've tried it, it worked. But I deleted the plugin because I really only use 3 plugins and 1 patch on KoReader. If they won't work with an updated KoReader I just look them up, one plugin usually gets updated with each new KoReader version anyway (Project Title). Another plugin (Bookshelf) seems to get updates every other day. Most of the new features I don't need anyway, so I really don't need to update this one with each new version. The third plugin is the Shortcutstoolbar, which I didn't need to update for the most recent stable KoReader version. |

It is quite fun although most probably vibe coded.
Can install plugins, patches, fonts, screensavers (if I am not mistaken). Haven’t used it yet, but people on Discord and reddit do, I didn’t hear anything specifically terrible about it |

I installed Storefront a few days ago and really like it. I also tried appstore (omer-faruq) but deleted it because Storefront has a much better UI. I've used Storefront to install several plugins directly within Koreader and to install a few screensavers. Previously, I had to download plugins to my desktop, unzip and move the files to Koreader wirelessly using FilebrowserPlus. Storefront eliminates the need to use the desktop. Storefront also identified several plugin updates that I wasn't aware of and let me install the updates in Storefront.

Thanks everyone, I have it installed. Seems to work as advertised and fairly well. Being a software engineer myself, I actually don't really care if it is vibe coded, as long as it works.

I do prefer storefront to https://github.com/omer-faruq/appstore.koplugin/. It works far more intuitive and also has fonts and screensavers. And to be fair, appstore also has Claude contributions. I don't think that any current koreader plugins are made without LLMs. It is what it is.
