Version 4.3 sent to AppStore (small improvements)

■ New features
- CarPlay. justRead now shows up in your car. Audiobooks play there, and so do books prepared for Background listening, with covers, reading progress and a speed button on the car screen.
- Lock Book. Any book can ask for Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode before it opens. The switch is in Edit Book, and it applies only on that device.
- Recently Deleted. Deleted books now wait 30 days before they are gone for good. Restore one and its reading position, highlights, bookmarks and cover come back exactly as they were.
- PDFs caught up. Read Aloud now works in PDFs, with the same voices and controls as everywhere else, and the contents sheet gained a Pages tab with a thumbnail of every page.
- Search Online. Edit Book can now fetch a missing cover, description and details from Open Library and Google Books.
- Continue Reading everywhere. You can ask Siri to open a book or pick up where you left off, and a new Continue Reading control for Control Center and the Lock Screen jumps straight back into your current book.
- Daily Pages Goal. Set how many pages a day you want to read, next to the reading time goal.
- Daily Reminder and Streak Alert. A reading reminder at the time you choose, and an evening notification when today would break your streak. Both are optional and live in Settings.

■ Improvements
- One goal card. The four goal sections on Home merged into a single card, so time, pages, streak and your yearly books goal share one place.
- Haptic Feedback. The small vibrations on taps now have a switch in Settings, in case you want them gone.

■ Localization
- All the new text is natively translated across all 18 supported languages.

Just a quick information.

Version 4.3 was pushed to AppStore last Thursday. Usually it takes between 0-48 hours (in 90% of cases between 0-24 hours) for the app to be reviewed.
But today is Monday and the app is still in 'Waiting for Review' mode, even with me asking for Expedited Review.
Because I did some bug fixes in between (japanese books, german translations, etc.), I updated that Thursday version with new one and resubmitted again.

I am not able to tell, why it takes so long at Apples side now and when this version will be reviewed and available in AppStore.

4.3 looks good. Question is there anyway to view the Library in one column instead of 2?

Hi, if you are talking about GRID display, then one column will look really strange, because there will be one big cover.

I have covers turned off. The reason I would like to have only one column is that I like to quickly scan for a book I would like to read. I have a lot of books! Two columns disturbs that scanning as I have to look sideways and then to the next line. It's not a big problems because I don't use JustRead as my book catalog from Calibre (although I might like to). Currently, I add books to MapleRead and then transfers them to JustRead. I'm probably one of the few that do this, so it wasn't a request, just thought I might have missed it. JustRead is so comprehensive that was possible. Thanks for a great app!

So here I am confused. You have covers turned off, so that means you do not use grid and in that case it already show just list, meaning one column (see attached screenshot)
Maybe I am not understanding clearly, what you mean.

That is what I want. Found it - I have mine sorted by Recently Added which gives 2 columns. When I switch to Author sort it does give me 1 column, but only Author sort gives 1 column. All the other sorts give 2 columns. Thanks, that will work when I'm just perusing.

Are we talking about the same :-) ?
No matter the sorting, every option is in one column in list with cover off.
See screenshot with sorted by Recently Sorted, list mode and cover off.
List is always in one column.

Mine doesn't look like that. Library>three dots>display>all grid view turned off; List view only title author series turned on. Is there somewhere else I should be looking? ipados 26.6.1. This happens on both my ipad mini 6 and my ipad pro m4.

Aha, ipad and I am posting screenshot from iphones.
Yes, ipad has two columns, because od the width.
Technically no problem adding an option to show just one column, but, what will it gain for you? You will even see just half of books you are seeing now.
Is it only really about that scanning in two columns, versus one?
Also, if you had a lot of books, isn't it better to simply use search?

Search works great if I know what book I'm looking for. Sometimes I just want to find a book that I haven't read in a while, but don't remember the name. Yes, it is about one column vs 2. One column is much quicker because I don't have to move my eyes back and forth looking, I just scroll and keep my eyes fixed if that makes sense.

However, I don't see any reason for you to do an update on this. Now that I know I can get one column with Author sort set, I'm good to go. It's so interesting to see how different people look at things. I appreciate the conversation and you're willingness to consider alternatives.
