Hello, I have another question: how can I format the micro SD card or get a new one? Once installed, I can no longer access it from Windows or Mac, nor can I format the SD card. It's as if the Linux firmware and partitions are blocking the formatting.
I hope someone can help. Thank you so much if you know anything.

For a MacOS or Windows computer, you could use the SD Card Association's SD Memory Card Formatter for Windows/Mac to do a full overwrite of the card directly connected to your computer.

Over the USB connection, you will only see the FAT32 partition. The remainder of the µSD card (system bits and the 2 ext4 partitions) are not exposed over USB.

Anything you want to do such as resize the FAT32 partition must be done on your computer before installing the µSD card back into your ereader.

Hello,
My Kobo Clara HD freezes regularly, and I'm afraid it might never restart.
I saw in the third post (on the first page of this thread) that there are two firmware models for the Clara HD, but I don't know which one is mine.
So, I would like the firmware for my Kobo Clara HD, which has the SKU N249-KF-BK-S-EP.
Thanks.

Hi everyone,
My Kobo Libra 2 (Model N418) recently stopped responding. It seems the boot partitions are corrupted. Based on my serial number, it is a Hardware Revision v1 device (not Rev E). Could someone please kindly share a working Kobo Libra 2 (N418) v1 SD card image with me?
Thank you so much for your help!

There is no such animal as a N418 v1. The revision used comes from the motherboard near the battery where you will see a string 37NB-E70K1M+nAn where n is a number and A is a letter. That letter is what is used as the revision number for our purposes. The only devices where the serial number reveals the revision is the Kobo Aura Edition 2. There the 7th character of the serial number is a 2 for a revision 2 device and mostly 0 for a rev 1 device though a couple of people have reported a rev 1 device with a 1 in the 7th position.

There are times when I think of lingering and amusing things to do with the creators of AI. Perhaps something with molten lead or boiling oil?
