I prefer the stories where The Narrator, after being reborn, makes one small change which results in the downfall of everyone who had a hand in his/her death in the previous timeline.

As an example, in one story The Narrator, instead of wearing her normal clothes, wears a tight dress with no pockets. The reason: In her previous life someone slipped a cheat sheet in her hoodie, which began the process of her life being destroyed. This time, that someone got caught for attempting to frame The Narrator because what she was wearing had nowhere that someone could slip in a cheat sheet.

While I enjoy looping timeline stories, they always strike me as suffering from the same issue as any time travel story. If you can change the past, it will be changed until time travel is not invented. Either that we will no longer be in a strand but in the sauce. See Niven's Law.

Apart having mispelled the desktop environment (COSMIC), I was also wrong, as it only booted and correctly showed fine at a first glance (but the fancy screen is all where it goes).

Usually in the reborn stories I've read, the timeline splits when the main character is reborn. The new timeline continues the same way the old one did until the Main Character takes actions to send events in a new direction to prevent her own death. It doesn't create a loop, the character just lives in a new timeline.

One aspect of this is that a bit unsatisfying is when the Main Character takes actions to punish people for things they hadn't yet done for revenge over what they had done in the previous timeline. The ones I like best are ones where the Main Character just takes a small action to save himself/herself (such as leaving a bus, cutting their hair, requesting to sit at another desk) which leads to disaster for others due to their own actions, not his/hers.
