Can I display only search results?

I'm trying to show only items that match my search results. Is there some way that I can do this that I'm just not seeing?

1) Do you have the option Highlight search results... in Preferences -> Searching checked? If so, uncheck it.

2) Do you have the option Limit the searched metadata checked? If not, check it (and adjust the box according to your preferences)

It easier (IMHO) to create your search to use the field(s) you want such as author:="lee child"

@gvantass - if you check this setting you'll have a button to click (assuming you don't hide the search bar) ==>> Preferences->Searching->Show a quick toggle button to switch between highlighting and restricting results next to the Search bar.

Much easier than going in and out of Preferences.

Generally, I'd definitely use a precise search, but in this particular instance, I was looking for entries that had the word "memoir" anywhere in the data.
