Sure, you could read one of those books about how to survive. It might even help one or two people. Why not be realistic about things? This book contains the first-hand accounting of the Space Monsters, as well as the best way to make sure you don't have to worry about survival.

I haven't tried yet, but books from previous series are not currently downloadable from "My Content and Devices".

I don't imagine I'll have trouble with the usual current methods of removing DRM and converting to ePub.

Little John
Every interaction I have seen with these hulking masses
of muscle end in one of two ways. Little John either
completely ignores you, or you’re dead before anyone
around you has a clue what has happened. They don’t
inseem particularly interested hunting or killing
anyone, unless you are within about a ten foot range of
them. None of the structures that were built to contain it
ever managed to even slow down the carnage once it had
itdecided to kill someone, but any time wasn’t ripping
someone to pieces Little John seemed almost happy to
sit in the small fortress that had been assembled to
contain it.
