Kindle app on android tablet

Hey guys,

I'm hoping someone can help me.

I've put the kindle app on my boys android tablet so he can read graphic novels, but the app won't download any books or samples. I select a book to add to the library, it shows up in the library, but when tap the book to read it, I get an error message saying unable to download. I've tried many books and even samples and it does it with all of them.

These are all prime reading books, I don't have a kindle unlimited account. The books download fine on my android phone and also on my kindle

The tablet is a Lenovo M10 3rd Gen, and is running the most recent software in can, Android 12.

I've cleared the app cache, I've cleared the app storage, I've restarted everything, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, I've taken the tablet off and back on the WiFi, but nothing works.

Has anyone got any ideas?
