View Manager Problem

I'm sure this is a PEBKAC situation becase it almost always is, but I'm stuck:
In View Manager, I'm trying to sort first by date last read ascending, then percent read descending. The screenshot shows that setup and the actual view that results. What am I doing wrong?

Last Read and Date are surely not the same column?

Unless you repurposed the Date column with a template to what I call a Virtual column, also known as a 'composite' column.

Was looking for a way to quickly switch which column is being sorted depending on the active Virtual Library and saw this. I couldn't find an option to automatically activate a View upon switching to a particular Virtual Library instead of having to click the View Manager icon and changing the View from there, but I made a workaround using keyboard shortcuts and my mouse.

I set Previous View and Next View to Ctrl+1 and Ctrl+2, then added a Calibre profile to Logitech G Hub, created two macros that simulated the keypress for Ctrl+1 and Ctrl+2, then assigned those macros to my mouse's back and forward buttons. So whenever the Calibre window is active, I can click the back and forward button to switch Views. Thanks for making this plugin!

You can do it via Action Chains PI.

Thanks! I was confused for a bit, but eventually figured out how to trigger the chain. It takes a few seconds for it to trigger, but it's not a big deal. Though it doesn't seem to follow the setting "Jump to the top when applying this View".

For people who are still trying to figure it out:
  1. Manage modules
  2. Create
  3. Copy and paste the code
  4. Ok
  5. Add/Modify chains
  6. Add menu item row
  7. Create a title for the chain
  8. Settings
  9. Add row
  10. Double-click Action cell
  11. Under User Actions, select the module you created earlier
  12. Settings
  13. Add row
  14. Double-click VL cell, select the Virtual Library you have a custom View for
  15. Double-click View cell
  16. Select the View you want the Virtual Library to activate upon switching
  17. Repeat as many times as you have custom Views for specific Virtual Libraries

IIRC you can configure this in View Manager.

Yes I have it enabled on both views on View Manager. If I change views normally, this setting is followed, but when the change is triggered via Action Chains, it's not. Maybe because the action isn't triggered instantly so when I switch tabs, it keeps the same book that was selected in the previous Virtual Library before the view changed.
