I'm now listening to Peter Cline's God's Junk Drawer. A time-travelly book that reads much like a blend of the TV shows Land of the Lost and LaBrea. The humor is keeping it going, but the jury is still out on whether I will enjoy it as a whole.

It was OK. Nothing earth-shattering, but an enjoyable enough story.

Finished reading Waypoint Kangaroo by Curtis C. Chen.

As others have said, this was a quirky space yarn. Entertaining and original but not outstanding. Rated C- [3 stars]

I'm almost done with "The Eurynome Code" series by K. Gorman.

Genetic engineering, artificially created and altered natural humans with godlike powers, a shadow world, pocket dimensions, humanoid "shadows" that take over people's bodies, cyborgs from Alpha Centauri, and a disembodied brain in a tank.

One young woman holds the key to saving the universe within her altered DNA, when all she wanted to do after escaping Earth was be a spaceship pilot on a salvage ship.

I just finished the (short) Graphic Audio produced audiobook of "All Systems Red" - the first in the Murderbot series. I wanted to see if other Graphic Audio books were going to be as good as the one I just previously listened to - "Fool Moon" from the Dresden Files series.

The production was just as good, but the story itself was slightly less engaging, but not bad by any means. The characters weren't memorable, other than Murderbot and "Mensa". Odd name, at first I thought it was sarcasm, but that's what it sounds like the narrator was saying as her name. But it was a short novelette so you'd expect less character development. I'd give All Systems Red 4 stars for entertainment, 5 stars for the Graphic Audio presentation of it (which was just a tad too fast reading for me, I turned it down to 90% playback speed and that was good).

I'm having a "summer time" by reading comics, if I was to already being fashinated by Moebius, and his stories I'd found onto the Pocketbook Color 3 I've bought (second hand), the versions from the Humble Bundle from "Titan Books" (rather than the then-translated "Epic/Marvel" or "Dark Horse") ones are fantastic; I'm enjoying the device so much (I was to have borrow some at the public library too, also several years ago).
The volumes of "Metal Hurlant" are marvelously mauvelous, little short stories, mostly SF, from authors I don't even know.
From the books that were into the device I've read a volume of Druuna (well, it was the 4th one, so I have now to read the story backwards: though that there isn't much of a plot in there anyway): the drawings recalled me, again, of Moebius; now that I check the wiki (it's nsfw even that page, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Druuna) it was translated on Metal Hurlant too.

The "All Tomorrow Parties", the story of the Velvet Underground was also great, I wasn't to know that from Lou Reed, John Cale, and the other members of the band, nor that by that time them wasn't to have had much accolades.

On books I returned some I didn't read (wasn't in a mood for "Drinking Sapphire Wine", but I can re-borrow it lately); currently on "City", by Clifford D. Simak.
