Tracking Changes Made to My Calibre Library

Is there a plugin that will show me all the changes I made to my library within a specific period of time? By changes, I mean primarily additions and deletions of books and tags.

You might want to try Audit Log, but keep in mind it's now unmaintained:

Nearest I can think of are the Calibre Configuration Reports: History and the Audit Log plugins ==>> Index of plugins.

Thanks for the suggestions. I first went with the CCR plugin, but it doesn't track what I want. (But I'll keep it for other things.)

I was hoping not to engage with the Audit Log plugin because, other than not being maintained, it looks a little complicated (to me), but I have little choice.

For the Audit Log, what does the developer mean by "You should then vacuum/compress this Library using menu path Library > Library Maintenance > Check Library." (I reattached the developer's image for easy reference.)

Why must I do this, and what will happen if I don't? Will the plugin not work? Will doing it have other effects on my library? Also, should I go with all three 'compact' options?

Vacuuming a SQLite database compressed it by removing unused entries. If you are not an annotations user, you can skip that item. Though personally, I use all three of them. Especially on my Intake library, the FTS database has a lot of unused entries since after metadata updates and editing, the books are moved to my Main library.
