Is the Sage Discontinued?

Aliexpress claims to have a battery for the Forma. I haven't actually tried it but one of the reviewers claims to have used it on a Forma.

One online acquaintance did replace the battery in their Forma and claimed it was pretty easy. Not sure about which battery they used but suspect it was the same one from Aliexpress. OTOH, they are experienced in working with electronics. I never opened my Forma to replace the battery so can't say much from personal experience.

Yes, but I use a Mac and had trouble with SD cards that were bigger than the on-board one - it took the larger card to be the on-board card. That's why I was so pleased to get 32GB on-board. (It wasn't just the Kobo; I had Android readers with the same issue.)

Kobo hasn't officially confirned it, but I'd say so.

Unfortunately, even though we personally know the Sage has been discontinued, Kobo continues to deny it. See post #25 if you missed it:

It’s certainly effectively discontinued in the US at this point. It’s been off their Amazon store and sold out on their us website for this long.

I don’t think it’s tariffs at this point

I guess it's sold out, but we haven't seen much info from Kobo recently. I wonder if any refurbished Sage units will appear.

I'd also like to know how many units were sold per model. I mean, how many Libra 2s were manufactured and sold, and how many Sages, etc.

If we knew these numbers, roughly, at least, we could fine tune our expectations for the future.
My guess would be something like this: a lot of Libra 2 units were made and sold out quickly, while the Sage sold out in smaller numbers over a longer time. The Elipsa line is even worse.

So I guess there will be no models other than in the 6 and 7 inch sizes.
