Thanks for the update. Now the table is much easier to navigate for me.
I noticed, though, that the permanent scrollbar and the symbols for scrolling like "<" or ">" only appear after allowing JavaScript from code.jquery.com. I haven't looked up how much JS code from code.jquery.com is implemented, but I wonder why you didn't include this code on your own domain comparisontabl.es.

Since the info under "CPU clock speed" is missing: The Viwoods AIPaper Reader has the Helio G99 / MT8781V/CA as CPU with 8 cores and 2x2.20 and 6x2.00 GHz. That's what the app Device Info HW says on my device, see the attached screenshot.

Edit:
The Reader also has a fingerprint scanner, although with firmware 1.1.0 one can set up a fingerprint only with wifi enabled. Quite strange, same goes for setting up a PIN as security measure. Though Viwoods told me they want to fix this in a future firmware so that it works without wifi/wlan.
You're welcome! Glad it helps!

And I'm using jQuery in quite a few scripts on my site. It's a very commonly used JavaScript library, and currently I'm using a CDN for it (loading it from jQuery.com) simply because it's easier than self-hosting it. Just haven't taken the time to set up self-hosting yet as I haven't seen this being an issue before.

So I guess Vivaldi, or the way you've set it up, is pretty strict about external scripts then?

Thanks for the additional info on the Viwoods AiPaper reader, just added it to the table!

It's the extensions I use to finetune which JavaScript I allow on a particular site. Well, now that I know all I have to do is remind myself to allow code.jquery.com on your side. Since I am not that old, I think I can manage that. :-)

Just wanted to drop in and let everyone know that I've just published a tablet comparison table! So you can now compare tablets using all of the same comparison tools that were already available for e-readers.

You can find it here: https://comparisontabl.es/tablets/

It currently has 264 tablets available to compare by a total of 19 brands. It's got every iPad ever released, the last 8/9 years of Samsung tablets, recent Lenovo tablets, all Amazon (Kindle) Fire tablets, TCL (Nxtpaper) tablets, Kobo Arc tablets, Nook tablets, and more.

I'll be adding more over time - let me know if you want to see anything added!

Note that the distinction I'm making between e-readers and tablets is basically the following: does the display itself emit light? If yes (LCD-LED, OLED); listed as a tablet. If no (E Ink, RLCD); listed as an e-reader.

The e-reader comparison table is also still kept up-to-date, and is now up to 315 e-readers. I've added new products such as the Xteink X3, PocketBook InkPad One, as well as the current catalog of two new brands (both Taiwanese): Hyread and Pubu.

If you have any feedback let me know!

Maybe I'm just stupid, but nothing ever comes up on my screen for this. Just a spinning circle. I'm looking for a tool that I can enter the features I need and want, and it will spit out the model(s) that satisfy those parameters. As in:

Need
Warm Light
Waterproof
Ambidextrous (don't care if it's two sets of buttons or a rotating screen)

Want
Magnetic charger or wireless charging
Pocketable

I don't care about brand, bookstore, book format. I don't even need a touchscreen.

You have to allow JavaScript in your browser. If you're using extensions to control JS more specifically you at least have to allow JS from the website itself and from code.jquery.com. All the other JS is not needed to display the tables.
Plus you also must allow cookies from comparisontabl.es. Just tested it. It won't work without cookies.

Yes, you do need to allow JS or most things won't work. I'll try to get rid of the jquery.com dependency soon and self-host jQuery.

The e-reader table is up to 337 devices now as I've kept it up with new e-reader releases (recently added Xteink X4 Pro, for instance). The tablets comparison tool is now up to 322 devices. If there's any devices you'd like to see added, let me know!

Also wanted to let you guys know about two new developments:

1. I've added a new button under 'Settings' to pivot/transpose the table, so every (remaining) product will become a column rather than a row when clicked. This should be useful once you've filtered down to a few remaining products, for instance every (available) device by a specific brand, or just any ereader with a combination of specs/features you're looking for. Once you've got a few options left, click the Pivot button to see all of them side-by-side. I've attached a screenshot with a quick example: all models by reMarkable. In this view, there's also a checkbox for 'Differences only' and 'Compare size', just like there is in the side-by-side comparison tool where you can select any two devices to compare.

2. This is a side-project that I spent way too much time on: https://comparisontabl.es/3d-bookshop/ or more memorable, will redirect you there: 3dbookshop.com.
It's basically a game-like 3D environment, built to be a fun and interactive way to help you discover something to read. It's the bookshop experience, but in your browser: you can walk around, pick up books, turn them over to read the back cover, and open them to read a sample. It also has quite a lot of full free books from Gutenberg that you can fully read there. It features a fully fledged reader with a built-in dictionary, notetaking capability, table of contents and search function. The location in the 3D environment and in every book you've opened are automatically stored to your browser. Attached a screenshot for this as well.

Let me know if you have any feedback!

You're welcome, Patrik!

To be completely honest and transparent here; it's getting harder to keep it updated, and the future of the site is actually quite uncertain right now.
It's a ton of work to keep everything updated, doing new developments, and trying to expand into new categories (like smartphones and E Ink monitors). This would all be fine if the site was growing in traffic (which would mean more income from ads/affiliate) as I'd eventually be able to get some help. But sadly the opposite is happening right now.
Google has for whatever reason demoted the site in the search results, making it practically impossible to find, resulting in a loss of 90% of the search traffic (from roughly 750 visitors per day in the off-season to only 75 per day now). Attached a screenshot.
It's getting pretty ridiculous; as far as I know this is most complete and useful e-reader comparison tool on the web, but if you search for 'compare e-readers' I'm at the end of page 2 of the search results! Meaning practically nobody searching for this will find the site right now.

The only saving grace so far has been people sharing the site around on Reddit, forums, social media, and with friends on messaging apps. I'm very thankful for that. So for anybody reading: please consider sharing the site as it helps me keep it around and up-to-date.

I'm going to do anything in my power to try and keep it around, improving, and growing. Thanks again everyone for all of the feedback and compliments, it means a lot!
