You can also use a jailbroken Kindle, but the Windows app might still be the easier option. I don't know.

VirtualBox does allow you to emulate a TPM 2.0 so you can install Windows 11.

I use Linux on my machine and it's possible to dedrm by jailbreaking your paperwhite and downgrading it. After that the dedrm plugin works as it ever did. Until Amazon find a way to break that - assuming they haven't already.

With a jailbroken Kindle, there's also Satsuoni's on-device kfx archiver.
