PW5 Yet another buggy PW5

My friend told me to post on here for help, so here it is.
My kindle paperwhite 5 2021 is jailbroken with Nosebleed, and those days the battery isn't the best. especially when i try to charge it up after like two days of usage, it will not let me without rebooting (smth about "moisture detected", annoying like shit). and today, i have to do it to charge up the poor 10% battery. and when i rebooted it, it bootloops. yes, another bootloop case.

After a while of doing nothing but praying, i actually could rebooted it back (before it cannot), but it is very buggy, as the kindle on boot will either bootloop again or say shit like "Updating font" or whatever it is, and when booted up, it will not recognize stuff properly (like detecting the kindle only have 480mb storage with 3mb free while my kindle have at least 8gb with 1gb free, and this can not be solved unless i connect this to my computer and disconnect, it will say "updating font" again and the thing will detect the storage), but at least it haven't delete my books as my amazon account is "suspended" or whatever.
Do you guys know how to fix this kind of thing?

There is probably dirt or lint inside of the USB-C port. The detection is that it sees a short across some of the pins and the default warning is just assuming that it's moisture. Use a soft tool like a disposable dental pick or toothpick to gently get any out. Don't use metal because that could short pins even more.

You are best to use a can of compressed air. A hair dryer is too hot.

Some can blow without heat.

Blowing with a straw can work for connectors, optical drives, floppy drive and blocked laptop fan vents.

After a while of cleaning using a disposable dental pick and a hair blower at minimum heat, the kindle still report "moisture detected". Is there any permanent software changes that i could make to disable the warning and the disabling charging part? i swear that it always work after a reboot but now I'm scared of rebooting after the bootloops.

Just so you'll know - hair dryers and vacuum cleaners are about the biggest static electricity generators on the planet. I wouldn't use one anywhere near sensitive electronics. That being said, the USB port on a Kindle doesn't really quality as "sensitive electronics", so you're probably fine.

Also, for cleaning lint out of a USB charging port, I first try a wooden toothpick, which is generally too fat. Then a plastic toothpick, which is a little thinner. Then a stiff bristle toothbrush, or a single bristle that you cut off of a toothbrush. You'll need hemostats, tweezers or some other small clamp to hold onto a single toothbrush bristle.

If you have or know someone who has an electric shaver, those usually come with a stiff bristled small brush for cleaning hairs out of them. One of those may be able to get inside your charging port and clean out any gunk in there.

Or if you're a good whittler with a knife, you could also try shaving a wooden toothpick down to a small enough profile to get it into the charging port, but be careful not to break it off in the port.

You need to pick and pull the lint out, and it's probably packed in there tighter than you-know-what after attempts to push the charging cord in tight enough to charge the Kindle. Trying to blow the gunk out with some kind of fan device is probably futile.

As a last resort, I have used a thin sewing needle to pick out really stuck lint. Yes, I know it's metal. And yes, it could theoretically short something. But I didn't have a problem the one time I had to resort to this. But note, that was on an older microUSB port on an old smartphone that I was just about to get rid of anyway. Personally, I would try a needle as a last resort on an inexpensive device like a Kindle. That's what it took to get years of packed pocket lint out of my phone's charging port. There was a lot of it packed in there, a surprising amount. The phone charged like a champ after I got all that garbage out. But do make every attempt possible using something non-conductive (non-metal) to clean out the port before trying a needle in desperation. I am not sure if devices like Kindles actually supply power to their charging port full time (when it's not in use), they may just receive power. But I don't know.
