Question Onyx Boox Leaf 7" magnetic cover

It's getting harder to find these cases. They have official support for page flip buttons and shut to sleep which I really appreciate. Does anyone know of any alternatives that keep those functions?

Does that have contacts on the edge for the case and buttons?
I think that would be a pain to duplicate, although you could.
I presume the close-to-sleep is like the other devices that I have.
It's just a magnet sensor on the bottom edge somewhere.

The Poke5, Go6 covers have a core of 0.050" (1.25 mm) plexiglas.
Embedded in that are magnets of the same thickness.
Then the leather-like material sandwiches this.
I was going to make my own. I laid out the design, never found the right plexiglas.

Yes there are 3 contact points on the inside near the buttons. I figured it was very unlikely for there to be third parties because of this. It's such a convenient addition, to me the reader feels incomplete without it, and they are rather fragile.

I feel like someone with skill could repurpose an existing case by reattaching the plastic bit that houses the buttons and contacts into a new cover made of higher quality materials. But I have no idea how I would find someone that can do it.

"Pogo pins" are what you would need.
Some of them are insanely expensive for what they are.
Some of them are too long, too pointy for constant use.

Adafruit has some non-pointy types:

They are longer than you'd like but still pretty short.

I used a (chopped-down) second one for a programming thingy.
