Software level mouse pointer
I have noticed that you can connect your mouse using https://github.com/zampierilucas/kin...d-passthrough/. When I moved my mouse around and clicked, the click would happen on different places. I would like a way to add a mouse pointer or cursor so I know where it is. I was thinking of creating one with python, but I got stuck and didn't know what to do. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance!

It's not something you can solve with a python script.
It's probably a parameter in the X11 display server configuration: normally the mouse cursor is hidden for touchscreen devices, but it can be changed. I don't have time right now (maybe next week), but my intuition tells it might be in /etc/X11/xorg.conf (That said, proceed with extreme caution when modifying system files, if you f*ck something up, there's no recovery mode for Kindle - so better don't play with it unless you know what you are doing) BTW, there was a similar operation to make the keyboard work, it was recognized but not registered as an input device. |
