Managed to get heat sick ... again ... after I took a walk - the humidity had dropped so I chanced a 97 F walk - not acclimated yet to the July heat

We just got back from a trip to first the recycle station to get rid of some accumulated trash. After that we went to the thrift store. I found the first three seasons of the tv series Borgen and the first two seasons of Forbrydelsen (The Killing) on DVD. All for less than €10. But now I need to get the final seasons of both, the one for Forbrydelsen is easily found, but the fourth season of Borgen is difficult to find, so I need to keep an eye out for it.

It also means I need to reorganize my shelves, since I can't fit those five box sets on the current shelves anymore. So I'll be moving my TV series dvd's/blu-rays to another shelf.

Nice find. I think I got all of Forbrydelsen on MHz with English subs. Borgen sounds good bu I don't have NFLX - & wonder why it only has S1-3?

The original 3 seasons were aired between 2010 and 2013 and the fourth season in 2022. I expect the added the fourth season after it got popular in other countries. It does seems to have been well received, going to by the scores of each episode on IMDB. I can't find a dvd with it anywhere (with English or Dutch subs).

Right now I'm getting for work. It'll be another warm day, but over the weekend I found my extra thermos bottle, which I've put in the fridge without a lid. I'll be filling it up with a lot of ice cubes and if I keep topping up the water I hope I'll have a cold drink to sip on throughout most of the day.

So I was expecting an Amazon delivery tonight (by 10 pm) and was keeping a listen for the sound of a package hitting my front porch - when I heard the sound of footsteps on the front sidewalk - I looked out and saw a buck deer with an impressive spread of antlers standing on my front sidewalk looking at me through the door's sidelight - backlit by my neighbor's driveway light. As I watched, the rest of his herd walked by into my neighbor's lawn, and then he calmly followed them out of sight.
Deer often hang out in my yard and occasionally startle me when they bump into the side of the house.

Waiting for a parcel delivery and the England-Argentina World Cup semi-final. At this time, the game is 5 minutes away and the parcel is 2 hours overdue.

Updating my mp3 player and ripping some cd's I've gotten recently. Right now I'm ripping the recent release of the three disc box set of Aerosmith's self titled debut album. It's got the remaster of the original album, the remixed version and a live performance. After that I've got to do the first two albums of Alter Bridge, a band I recently discovered. I decided I like them enough to buy their album, at least on cd. Not sure if I'll buy them on vinyl (yes, for my favourite bands I have both the cd and vinyl version of their albums).

Weed whacking at dusk - followed by an ice cold protein shake. I swear that crabgrass stalks are the strongest and most evasive structure in the universe. The ones in my yard have evolved into Triffids - they bob, weave, flatten, and attack when approached by the spinning thread.
