Some of those fingers come from build.prop in system.
You should do a real update, not piecemeal.

Ok.

That means, I would need to get another update image first?! Which is the latest and how can I differentiate. Size wise they all seem to be about 2GB's.

there's an update to v4.2.1 which brings some nice features.
Anybody tried & unlocked bootloader successful with it?
Unlocking with palma2pro.bin & ablmod works?
Can anybody be so kind and provide the latest update file?

Hi, sorry this is probably a stupid question but how do I get fastboot to connect to my PC?
It isn't being detected at all, I have tried using a USB-C to USB-C and USB-A to USB-C cable on both Linux (Fedora Workstation 41)(Dell XPS 13 9350) and Windows 11 (Framework Laptop 11 AMD Ryzen 7040).

The bootloader flashed is ablmod.img by AuroraWright
Nothing happens when it is plugged in in the fastboot menu (not even detected as a available port missing driver) and it only disconnects when rebooted to fastboot.

As I understand that is an abl from another manufacturer.
I wouldn't do that, but apparently you didn't see any reason not to.
Maybe flash back stock abl?

#59 and #60 would imply that ablmod.img works and I was having issues with the stock abl.
I really don't have that much experience messing around with the actual bootloader though so perhaps I have missed something?
The only thing from #59 up to fastboot flashing unlock I haven't done is flash frp_oemunlock.img to the frp partition but I doubt that would help as I have been able to enable OEM Unlocking via dev settings already and there seems to be no usb connection at all in fastboot. Although this may just me being stupid. I will try and flash it tomorrow.

Flashed frp_oemunlock.img and wiped devinfo, after rebooting it entered the recovery menu where it didn't connect via usb, then after a factory reset via that menu adb was off (to be expected, I just factory reset android), but after enabling adb, opening android.settings.SETTINGS (android settings not the modified boox version), and enabling dev mode, the OEM unlocking toggle is already on and the subtext says "Bootloader is already unlocked"? When booting into fastboot via adb reboot bootloader it still does not connect via usb though. #33 would imply that verity doesn't have to be disabled so can I just patch boot_a with magisk via EDL now or would I run into issues with verity?
