It was very humid Thursday, cloudy, high temp about 80° F. Thunderstorms were in the forecast, but I didn't hear anything and I didn't go out.

It's still warm, yesterday locally 32℃, today and tomorrow it should be a couple of degrees cooler, on Friday temperatures should really start to drop. It'll cool down to 25℃ and over the weekend it drops down even more to around 22℃.

The fact that it's so warm at work helps; the heat isn't bothering me as much as last month's heatwave. The bad news is that the cooling system won't get fixed until some time in winter. Though they are going to try doing some things to try to cool the store down.

The yellow murk moved out this evening, about an hour ago. I have to say it kept the temps down; we were supposed to be in the 90s these past two days but stayed well below. It wasn’t worth it. Just nasty and hard to breathe.

It's almost 28℃, humidity is only 56%, but it feels more humid. Luckily it isn't very sunny this afternoon, so it's easier to keep the house from warming up. It's not as breezy as the last couple of days, where it helped cool down the house at night.

Overnight the wind should change directions and bring cooler air. I'm really looking forward it that. Hopefully there's time to go on a walk Sunday afternoon after we have lunch with our parents.

Dangerous air quality continues in my area, with it being much worse to the north. Temps in the 90s. I've never seen numbers like they are reporting.

Wednesday (7/15) the temp reached 97. I think the smoke was starting to come in here, but I didn't go out that day. Thursday I was out and the smoke smelled pretty bad. It wasn't orange, but there was a smoky haze. There is still a bad air warning, but I haven't been out yet. 79° F. at noon today (Friday).

A lovely Friday morning. 17°C, mostly cloudy. The humidity is at 88% which made my morning walk feel like it was quite a bit warmer. The weatherfolk claim that the weekend will be in the low to mid-20s but starting Monday, the highs will be pushing 30°C for most of the week.

So far the wildfires in BC have been relatively small so the air here is still breathable unlike the eastern areas where northern Ontario and northern Minnesota are going their best to set new air quality (or lack thereof) records.

I must say that today in Toronto,while reports are that we still have poor Air quality, on my early morning walk I saw blue sky and smelt no smoke, unlike the last two mornings which were extremely foggy / grey tinged sky and extremely poor visibility.
