Look at the Kindle PW4. While it used the same screen as the PW3, it was considerably worse because of the way Amazon did the layering to make it flush.

Also, when showing off Readers in videos, why don't they make the books actually look good instead of making them look terrible?

Oh, no. I thought that we'd hit the end of the road with the Go 6 (original).
Now they have the Gen 2.
I guess that I'll have to buy one.
I guess that they decided that with the bloat they needed 50% more RAM.
I don't think that the stylus will do anything for me.

For people that grouse about that sort of thing it's still only Android 11.

I'm not impressed by the "suitcase inspired" back.
For the typical user that uses the magnetic case a plain back would be better.

When I saw it (I wasn't to knew about its 1st gen), I'd tought too, that that CEO's Kobo mail might refer also to a device like that; which would be a nice move to confront the real high prices of hardware, which is not, in any way, a thing them wouldn't/can't not consider - sadly.
