When I had to accept that I had gotten old, my rule of thumb for summer walks was "wait until it's below 90 F"
This year it changed to "as soon as it's below 100 F" -- and I'm still alive |

I'd been trying those wool t-shirts under the work uniform (either a t-shirt); while the job is between the kitchen's oven and the dishwasher, till the temps there are above 37 C degrees, I find those usefull.
Also while doing outside jobs (e.g. trimmering), them super fine (imho): both the ones that are thin and 100% merinos, or the other kind that are 80% wool and 20% polyamide. Just not the kind that has part wool and part cotton, because them simply gets wet and then doesn't dry off. |

Our new manager started one week before the refurbishment, and on the 26th we started getting the store ready for opening. In that short time he's already fed up with one of our cashiers. Customers don't like her, there are regular complaints about her, and colleagues don't like her. But she always seems to get away with her behaviour, until now.
Apparently I've become both popular with customers and colleagues and when I and another valued cashier complained about that one colleague (combined with his own observations) the new manager decided it was time to take action. She on vacation for the next three weeks, but after she returns things are going to change. She's not going to like it and there will be drama, but hopefully the outcome will be that the other cashiers, on daytime weekday shift, get a chance to rotate between the self check-out square and regular tills more. Best case scenario is that she quits/gets moved to another location/gets fired, but that's unlikely. But for the next three weeks we're enjoying a quieter time, with less drama and shouting (her favourite way to get what she wants). |

Watching Switzerland vs. Colombia in the round of 16. The previous game when Argentina came back in the last minutes of the game to turn a 2 goal deficit into a win was pretty decent.

Can't root for Colombia given what Zuniga did to Neymar in 2014. It's not exactly rancour but it's a thing. Switzerland feels neutral to me, in general. Brazil will not, in my lifetime, win a world cup unless they appoint Filipe Luis.
