Looks like a brand new translation that's only been out a month. I don't know if this is one of his better works.

I've just noticed that several of the Daisy Gumm Majesty 3-book box sets are $0.99/£0.72 in the US/UK right now. As I mentioned down below, this is very much a cozy/fun historical series, set in between-the-wars Pasadena, California, but usually does have just a little grit to make you think a bit. If you haven't tried the series, but think you'd like to, now would be a good time.

It is mostly a cozy series, but there is usually a more serious issue somewhere in each - PTSD, or racism, or date rape - not that these issues were called that then, or even acknowledged then. And one of the first things they've done is come out with an omnibus of the first six Charles Paris books for $0.99/£0.99 in the US/UK. Amazon/Kindle only, but for that price, I'll take the "Amazon-risk". (Or I would if I didn't already have most of them from Fictionwise and earlier...)

With Joffe bundles, they usually come out at $0.99/£0.99, and stay that way for a while, and then will go up a few dollars (or pounds), but still be pretty reasonably priced. So I'd jump on this if you want it, but even if you miss it, it will probably be $2.99 or $3.99, or something like that, which is not bad for six books. And they also are KU, if you have that.

Yes, they do do that, but at such attractive prices, especially on the omnibuses, that I am usually willing to take the Amazon/Kindle risk. I too would prefer Kobo, but many Severn House (and other imprints/series Joffe has picked up) rarely, if ever, went on sale prior...
