Is a Kindle Oasis worth buying for $70 in 2026? - Page 2

For a 2nd or 3rd generation Oasis this is a good price, especially if it is the 32 GB version.

I like the Oasis for its size and the physical scroll buttons.

I have the 2nd generation of Oasis (Oases?) and I'm pretty much spoiled for any other e-reader now, I think. The size and page turn buttons are great. I like that you can flip it over and read with either hand and get a screen refresh to boot. The battery life, for a device I got in 2019, is still pretty good (it was never great, but at a half hour of reading a day it lasts weeks; if I read ALL DAY with downloading, I need to charge it overnight). It seems like the closest device on the market now is a kobo libra color but I don't really want color so I've decided to use this device until it shuffles off this earthly coil.

Pocketbook has two 7" black and white devices with the same form factor and buttons - the Era and Era Lite.

If they moved the Era towards a similar metal edged design from the Eo or a full metal bucket case like the Oasis and Scribe then it'd be near or at the top of my list for a 7" device.
