Absolutely. She wrote them maybe between 1961 (pub 1962) and 2005. Issued an Author's preferred order before she died (she filled in earlier times in later writing).
Two books have different titles in the USA.
"Is" is maybe an unfortunately short title for search.

One of the best fantasy series ever (and I have read the entirety of "Earthsea").

There is no-one like Dido Twite.

I'd read some as a teen and bought all of them on ebook as an adult.

She apologised for "The Witch of Clatteringshaws" being short but didn't want it to be like Dicken's "The Mystery of Edwin Drood". She was determined to finish the series before her death. IMO better than Pratchett's "The Shepard's Crown", though I'm fond of all the Tiffany books too.

More FREE indie fantasy. Sarah Lin has made almost all of her work free on Amazon to promote her latest book.

I have read and really enjoyed the first book of the Street Cultivation series. Enough that I went on to buy book 2, and also book 1 of the Weirkey Chronicles, and I don't even mind that I haven't read them yet even though they are now free.

Here's a UK link to the one book I can definitely vouch for:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Street-Cult.../dp/B07W9J75R3

Quote:
In the modern world, qi is money.

The days of traveling martial artists and mountaintop masters are over. Power is controlled by corporations, modernized martial arts sects, and governments. Those at the bottom of society struggle as second class citizens in a world in which power is a commodity.

Rick is a young fighter in this world. He doesn't dream of immortality or becoming the strongest, just of building a better life for himself and his sister, who suffers from a spiritual illness. Unfortunately, life isn't that easy...
It should be possible to chain to the rest of the serieses from there. (As well as the aforementioned Weirkey Chronicles, there is also The Brightest Shadow and New Game Minus.) Nineteen books in total.

I'm not sure when the deal ends. The original post was 22 hours ago and said "Today Only" but the body said "this week only".

The Weirkey Chronicles // 11 books in the series; first 10 books are free.

The Nine Worlds span dimensions filled with wonder and adventure, but for Theo they mean bitter tragedy. For years he resented the betrayal that killed his friends, sent him back to Earth, and made him question everything he thought he knew.

But now, after a lifetime of struggle, he's found a way back to the Nine Worlds. An old man reborn in a new body, he has a second chance to rebuild what he lost and unravel a mystery that spans dimensions.
Street Cultivation // 3 books in the series, all free.

Quote:
From Book 1: Bloodwraith thought of himself as an effective villain, until a single adventurer destroyed his entire lair. With his last breath, he switched bodies with the adventurer and discovered that his world was built on lies. Alien beings from another dimension were using his world as a game... and now he was one of them.

The problem is, Bloodwraith has no experience being an adventurer. He was a mage, but his new body is only good at hitting things. He relied on undead minions, but now he has no choice but to depend on other people. And worst of all, strange boxes are constantly appearing in his vision, describing the world in unfamiliar, nonsensical terms.

Taking over the world is off the table, because the alien gods might be watching. To survive, Bloodwraith will need to learn the truth about himself and his world. And that means acting like an adventurer, at least for now.
The Brightest Shadow // 3 books in the series, all free.
Quote:
From Book 1: The arrival of the Hero was worse than anyone could have imagined.

To take her place as a full warrior of her tribe, Tani must travel across the vast grasslands of the Chorhan Expanse. But she has her sights set higher than a mere ritual journey: she wants to uncover a solution to the impending war that threatens her people. Her world has never been peaceful, torn between the many cultures that meet on the Chorhan Expanse, but the greatest threat is an expansionist army of monstrous non-humans who call themselves the mansthein.

Legends tell of monsters who will attempt to conquer the world, but are the mansthein those monsters? Tani believes that peace may be possible, but there are others on both sides who believe in the legends with zealous devotion. All around her, warriors have their eyes on a glorious victory with no concern for the piles of bodies they'll create on the way.

Tani will be joined by a killer pretending to be a healer, a mansthein commander struggling with his orders, a thief who pawned her heart of gold, and a strategist exiled from a foreign land.

But none of them are the Hero. It doesn't matter how many shades of gray might exist, some people see only in black and white. And the terrifying truth is that the stories they tell might not be just legends.

Budayeen Nights: Stoties by George Alec Effinger is $2 in the US (Kobo, Amazon)
Quote:
Long identified as a science fiction writer, except in his own eyes, George Alec Effinger had some of his biggest critical and commercial success with a series even he recognized and characterized as SF. Set in the marvelously realized, imaginary Muslim city of Budayeen, the three novels, When Gravity Fails, A Fire in the Sun and The Exile Kiss garnered rave reviews, award nominations and a wide readership. In addition, Effinger came to be recognized as one of the foundational writers of cyberpunk. Although the novels are perhaps how Budayeen and their hero, Marid Audran, are best known, there are a handful of shorter pieces that add to the vividly drawn and deeply authentic picture of an imagined world and seven short stories, the first part of an uncompleted novel and a story fragment add to the mental images of this exotic and yet somehow completely familiar city and world that Effinger created. This book was originally published by Golden Gryphon Press and comes with a Forword and story notes by Effinger's widow, Barbara Hambly. The lead story in this collection, "Schrodinger's Kitten," won the Hugo, Nebula and Seiun Awards.

Song of the Stag (The Storran Duology #1) by R.M. Brown is £2 in the UK (Amazon only, but price-matchable in Kobo)
Quote:
WINNER of the People’s Book Prize Frederick Forsyth Award for Fiction 2025

‘You think too much of me,’ Aggie said with a smirk, then her eyes darkened. ‘This is who I am. If I’d realised that sooner, things might be different.’

‘No, things would be exactly the same because Afren—’

‘Afren is going to pay,’ Aggie said simply.

Cait shook her head. ‘Is this about freedom or revenge?’

‘Can’t it be both?’

About the book

Cait is from Storran’s borders: idyllic, traditional, and completely opposed to separatism.

When her childhood sweetheart, Kenzie, is called up to the ranks of the Queen’s Watch to hunt down Storrian Separatists, Cait moves to the capital with him.

In the city of Thorterknock, she quickly realises that her charming countryside life is not the reality for every citizen of Storran. Struggle abounds on the cobbled streets, as does the battle for Storran’s liberation from the Five Realms.

Drawn to the enigmatic Separatist firebrand, the Fox of Thorterknock, and her tales of a secret heir to Storran’s long-empty throne, Cait finds herself swept into a struggle for freedom. With Kenzie and the Queen’s Watch on one side, and the Fox and the Separatists on the other, Cait will learn what it truly means to be a patriot.

And amidst this struggle to secure a better future, she will come to know the power of her own autonomy.

Song of the Stag may be a fantasy, but above all it is a love letter to Scotland’s historic and folkloric legacy. From ancient kings and black-hearted patriots to bonnie princes and Jacobite songs, this book is a celebration of a complex, beautiful, and all too often tragic, land.

Mattimeo (Redwall #3) by Brian Jacques is $2 in the US (Amazon only ATM, but price-matchable on Kobo)

The heroic adventures of Redwall continue with another epic tale overflowing with valorous personality, from the beloved, bestselling saga.**

Slagar the Fox is determined to vanquish peaceable Redwall. Gathering his mercenary band of rats, stoats, and weasels, he advances upon the abbey with a cunning scheme: rather than making courageous battle plans, he will steal the children of Redwall from under their parents' very noses. And his prize captive will be Mattimeo, the headstrong young son of Matthias, the fearless mouse warrior!

Vector Prime (Star Wars: The New Jedi Order #1) by R.A. Salvatore is $2 in the US (Amazon only, but price-matchable on Kobo)
Quote:
An exciting new era of Star Wars history is about to begin--as fantasy and science fiction's most acclaimed authors propel the legendary epic into the next millennium, introducing us to a rich cast of characters that features old favorites--Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Leia Organa Solo--along with the next generation of Jedi and never-before seen creatures, droids, and deadly agents of darkness. In Vector Prime, the launch novel for this thrilling new saga, New York Times bestselling author R. A. Salvatore takes the Star Wars universe to previously unscaled heights of action and imagination, expanding the beloved story of a galaxy far, far away . . .

Twenty-one years have passed since the heroes of the Rebel Alliance destroyed the Death Star, breaking the power of the Emperor. Since then, the New Republic has valiantly struggled to maintain peace and prosperity among the peoples of the galaxy. But unrest has begun to spread; tensions erupt in outbreaks of rebellion that, if unchecked, threaten to destroy the Republic's tenuous reign.

Into this volatile atmosphere comes Nom Anor, a charismatic firebrand who heats passions to the boiling point, sowing seeds of dissent for his own dark motives. In an effort to avert a catastrophic civil war, Leia travels with her daughter Jaina, her sister-in-law Mara Jade Skywalker, and the loyal protocol droid C-3PO, to conduct face-to-face diplomatic negotiations with Nom Anor. But he proves resistant to Leia's entreaties--and, far more inexplicably, within the Force, where a being should be, was . . . blank space. Meanwhile, Luke is plagued by reports of rogue Jedi Knights who are taking the law into their own hands. And so he wrestles with a dilemma: Should he attempt, in this climate of mistrust, to reestablish the legendary Jedi Council?

As the Jedi and the Republic focus on internal struggles, a new threat surfaces, unnoticed, beyond the farthest reaches of the Outer Rim. An enemy appears from outside known space, bearing weapons and technology unlike anything New Republic scientists have ever seen. Suddenly Luke, Mara, Leia, Han Solo, and Chewbacca--along with the Solo children--are thrust again into battle, to defend the freedom so many have fought and died for. But this time, all their courage, sacrifice, and even the power of the Force itself may not be enough. . . .

Features a bonus section following the novel that includes a primer on the Star Wars expanded universe, and over half a dozen excerpts from some of the most popular Star Wars books of the last thirty years!
