) But whenever I paste text from Word 2007 into Feedbooks these 1's keep popping up, and then loads of chunks of text are missing.

This shouldn't have taken more than a couple of hours to do, but now it's looking like an all-nighter

Word truly is evil, I'm going to switch back to Atlantis Ocean Mind, best word-processor I ever used...and bonus, it has real typewriter sounds

i heartily congratulate you on that choice. i've spent many hours tearing my hair out and raging at word. my best client that i'm going back to work for in july insists we do all the work in word, because of the collaborative workflow with people who barely know how to turn on a computer for the writing / editing parts. so i feel your pain.

on the other hand, the typewriter sounds would drive me nuts. the first thing i do every time i install my system is shut off all the noises. i don't mind the clacking of my actual keyboard, but nothing extra please. although i can imagine it does add to the mystique.

I think there is nothing more painful for me at work than when I have to write a report in Word. I'd bloody well rather scrawl it in hot sand with my......member.

Since I know I'm getting my house soon, I'm checking out the local shelters website for future LOLcat. But it's making me so damn sad

I want to snuggle them all! Luckily this place switched to being a no-kill shelter a few years ago, but it's hard to keep reading "abandoned" and "family needed to move."
