Scrollbar not moving when resizing
Windows 11 25H2
Calibre 9.9.104 I don't really know exactly when this started, but it was a few versions ago (not related to the Beta). Everytime I increase the Viewer window size, the scrool bar remains fixed and the text does not reflow. It also happens if you open the TOC and click a link. If you use the mouse wheel to scroll to another page, then it fixes itself. Reloading the book also does the trick. |

I'd appreciate if someone else could test on windows and let me know if its reproducible.

I can reproduce. More noticeable when maximizing the viewer.
On side note: I can't tell when this started, but I sense the viewer taking sometimes 3 to 4 seconds to start. Once it starts, it's fast to load. Tested on a simple library, no custom columns. I believe this initial delay was less perceptible. Could this be related to the Lookup panel doing some network activity on startup, like some online status test? |

Probably needs to have a common set of config settings, I guess.
I have the attached for Page Layout, but there are probably several other settings involved. I use Paged mode. |

lookup isnt loaded unless its open and even if it is loaded its asynchronous.
Someone that can reproduce it attach the viewer-webengine.json file from your config directory (review it to check it doesnt contain anything you dont want shared first -- mostly the list of recently opened books). |

Yeah, with that viewer-webengine.json — after dismissing the extra child windows — I get the behaviour described. Tap page down and it straightens itself out.
Dropped it into my 8.16.2 portable - no problems, text adjusts to window size immediately I resize. BR |

What would be more true to reflect my settings would be if the Lookup panel was enabled in the JSON I sent. I had disabled it for tests and forgot to re-enable it.

Comfy.n - with your viewer-webengine.json I got the problem in 9.9.104, with the child windows you had enabled - ToC, Find etc, AND with those child windows disabled. So, I don't think its related to child windows.
We need Diego to tell us which bells and whistles he has enabled - TTS, AI, Lookup etc - I don't have any of them enabled. BR |
