Awesome! I can confirm that the "Both page turn buttons go next" works on my firmware 4.45.23697.

I did fine one error that should be fixed when running kobopatch.bat -

Code:
Patching ./usr/local/Kobo/librmsdk.so.1.0.0
  Applying overrides
DISABLE `Ignore ePub book Adobe XPGT stylesheet (page-template.xpgt)`
DISABLE `Ignore ePub book CSS and Adobe XPGT stylesheets`
    DISABLE `Ignore ePub TOC navpoints`
    DISABLE `Disable orphans/widows avoidance`
    DISABLE `Default ePub serif font)`
Error: could not apply patches: could not override enabled for patch 'Default ePub serif font)': no such patch "Default ePub serif font)"
Taking out that ")" after font in the .yaml fixed it.

I can happily confirm that both buttons go next works on this firmware.
Thank you for the confirmation.

A fixed version has been posted. Thank you for finding the typo.

Hello, I am completely new to this, and have successfully applied the patch and it works! Granted I only turned on the option where both zones turn pages forward. I've yet to try other functions.

When Kobo pushes a new firmware update, does it mean if I were to update normally OTA, it will go back to stock firmware? Meaning that I will have to repatch and reinstall the patched firmware going forward?

If a new firmware is released and you install it, you will have to patch again as you will be back to stock.
