Em dashes display with space before them - Page 2

One thing I have noticed in some ePub is that there can be em dashes with no space and some with space in the same book. So maybe that's what you have there.

Perhaps you could scramble the book and attach it to a message here so we could take a look at it. Makes it a lot easier than guessing from what you have posted.

Okay, scrambled AZW3 file. But like I've said, there are no spaces before em dashes in the file. It's something about how this file is displaying on my Paperwhite.

Just use KFX in the future, I guess. Though, it really is a weird problem. I've tried scrambled file, and I see nothing wrong on my end.

I've run into it before, but I can't remember which books. Very, very rarely, though, it's definitely not something that comes up often.

IT'S A FONT ISSUE.

I think.

Apparently some fonts have built-in spaces around or after em-dashes???

What's baffling is that they seem different on the kindle and kobo - I'm using the baskerville font on both, and the kobo is displaying spaces after a lot of em-dashes, but the same file on the kindle, still in baskerville, does not have the spaces.
