What I see is V1.0.16034 updated 2026-Jun-09. It installed happily on 25H2, build 26200.8655 (bare metal) and 25H2, build 26220.8575 (VM). It was not happy on my Beta 26H1, build 28020.2236 VM but that is not all that unexpected.

Yes, indeed - not sure if everywhere but I could now download and install it via Microsoft Store with no issues (and not having to change my country/locale settings anywhere).

I did have a look at the UK MS Store and it's there. I've not installed it yet. I've not yet been forced to.

It is in Microsoft Store for my Intel Windows Pro 11 box, but not for my virtualized Windows Pro for ARM 11 (running UTM on Mac Pro M4).

Regarding the latter, I currently have 2.8.0 installed, and DRM removal is still working (using sats method).

It's missing from the ARM store because it's listed as the processor not being compatible. Of course it seems to work just fine if you force install it using

in command prompt (the gibberish is the Kindle app MS Store ID). Apple Music was the same for a few years, not sure why the biggest apps always have this issue...

K4PC (non-Windows Store) versions are now dead. I have 2.8.0 installed and I cannot download anything. I have to update to the Windows store version.

2.7.1 failed for me a few minutes ago.
I get the following message:

You can update to 2.9.1 till end of June, and tools still work.

I get the same message from K4PC 2.7.1 with the same supported OS Windows 11, Windows 10.

Clicking the link drops me to the Microsoft store where the requirements say Windows 11 version 22000.0 or higher.

I tried this from a Windows 10 VM and no joy on the install. I downloaded K4PC 2.9.1.71006 and it installed and still works on Windows 10 but 2026-Jun-30 is coming up fast.
