Is "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar" a famous—though probably apocryphal—quote attributed to Sigmund Freud?

Isn't true that "Do you think I’m being rhetorical?" is a question although it might serve a non-question function?

The 1935 novel? The 1992's one? The 2011's?

Doesn't the premise of The Hollow Man bare a similarity to X-The Man With the X-Ray Eyes*?
*At first the movie treats x-ray vision humorously (he goes to a party and he sees everybody as naked) then it turns to horror (he can't turn it off and he sees more and more of the visible spectrum and he can't shut out the world). |

Did someone ever tried to buy those xray glasses (maybe having them shipped to a parent, just not to having to feel that the postman will look weird at him/her, since there)?
Spoiler:
Ps: does those xrays glasses work, or is it a placebo effect? |

Is one friend of mine who once ordered a set from the back of a comic book and found they did not work for him a valid data point?
Do I even want to think about how many decades ago that was? |
