Hi

i have the Kobo N418 6E0

I have no idea what to do in the HEX Editor. I am not IT literate and cannot understand the jargon involved with this. What do you mean "the number is located at 0x200" - like what in the world does this mean?

When opening the image file I have received (thanks again) it says the file is corrupted.

In the 'Image Writer', i cannot even find the ISO to select as an option to write onto the SD card

Check this Wikipedia entry for hex editor. My personal preference is the HxD Hex Editor.

What are you trying to open it with? Windows builtin tool will not work. It's raw disk image file without the Microsoft bits and bobs.

You opened the Kobo_N418_Libra2_6E0_rev_E image.zip file and extracted the .img file to a known location. You opened either USB Duplicator Image Writer.exe or Balena Etcher (if you are using a different tool, the browse for the file to write is pretty much the same. The USB Duplicator Image Writer comes up looking for a .img file, Balena Etcher looks for a selection of OS image file extensions including .img. To find a .iso file with USB Duplicator Image Writer, you would need to use the dropdown to select all file *.*

If you tried the Kobo_N418_Libra_2_vE.zip instead, the contents are also an .img file.

Most of this information is available from a simple Internet search.

Though I have to ask why are you looking for an .iso image file?

hi everyone!
I've recently been experiencing issues with my Kobo Clara 2E (N506) . On boot, the LED blinks white continuously, the screen refreshes twice, and then remains white. The original internal SD card is readable and backed up, but device will not boot.

Looking for a Kobo Clara 2E (N506) image for recovery purposes.
