Do you prefer physical book, ebook or audiobook?

Paper, but due to vision damage, thank goodness for ebooks! Love audiobooks and listen while needlecrafting or sewing, but still prefer to sit down in my comfy chair and read ebooks.

Ebooks - since 99% of my reads are library borrows, the notes and highlights are indispensable, not to mention providing an automatic documentation trail of reads,

I prefer ebooks, I buy phisical books only when ebooks are not available. I tried audiobook but I don't like them. I prefer to read, not to hear a book.

Ebooks, of course. They are more convenient, don't take up space in my flat and they don't smell.

I really don't understood why people, who are capable of reading, listen to audiobooks. I guess it's just laziness.

Radio plays would be something totally different, though I don't listen to them either.

I like to listen to audiobooks when I cannot read. For example, when I am working in my store before I open. I can listen to an audiobook while I am repairing jewelry, making a custom piece or even when I am cleaning the store. I don't call that lazy. Also, I like to listen to audiobooks while I drive. I used to travel for a living both driving and flying. I learned a long time ago that on long drives, especially at night, I did not get sleepy if I was listening to an audiobook. Music on the other hand was easy to doze off too while driving. Have you ever tried to read while driving? It doesn't work very well.

There are lots of people who both read and listen to audiobooks, depending on the circumstances. There also are lots of people who strongly prefer one or the other, but not both. As with everything, people have different preferences. This has nothing to do with laziness, of course. I'm one of the laziest people I know. Seriously. And I don't do audiobooks at all. OTOH, I know more than one people who are in no way lazy and who prefer audiobooks.

There are also people who once liked to read books, but who have lost the ability to focus on long texts for one reason or another - stress, health problems, perimenopause, being out of practice, not enough uninterrupted free time and so on. Audiobooks can give them back the enjoyment they once got from reading books.

You are right. I just use my feet, the underground and other trains. I don't have an automobile neither I am allowed to drive an automobile since I never had a driving licence.

My preferences break down as follows:

• EBooks - For books that are mostly text.
• PBooks - Books featuring images and art, such as manga, trade paperback (containing reprints of comics books), and instruction manuals. With these kind of books it is essential to be able to view the entire page at one time, rather than having to scroll around the page.
• Audiobooks - When they are done as audioplays, like Infinite Crisis by Greg Cox which features a full cast and sound effects.
• PBooks - All other books that feature mostly text and disposable items (like tabloids and newspapers).
