What does a kindle hard float download have to do with a Fire tablet? Do remember that a Fire tablet is not a Kindle ereader.

Recently I've noticed some authors who no longer publish their books on Amazon, but do publish on Kobo (often enrolling in Kobo Plus). True, not many - the vast majority probably can't afford to ignore Amazon.

One oddity is that just before the cutoff, I downloaded a KU book onto my PW1. I finished it and it is now marked as finished on Amazon.
