New features
- Open PDF files from the Files app, Mail, or any share sheet: justRead now appears in the "Open in" menu for PDF files.
- Calibre sync: choose which formats to download: All, EPUB only, or PDF only and decide what happens when a book is available in both EPUB and PDF: sync both, prefer EPUB, or prefer PDF.
- Quick Readwise access from Home settings, with a clear indicator showing whether Readwise is connected.

Fixes
- Author sort: two-word names like "Ben Aaronovitch" or "Al Pacino" now sort by the correct surname.
- In-book search: tapping a result in EPUBs whose chapter files contain a "#" character now jumps to the right place, with a chapter-level fallback if the exact paragraph can't be matched.
- Calibre sync: switching the format filter after selecting books now correctly updates the "selected" count and the sync button.

Improvements
- Calibre book list shows one pill per available format and combines the sizes so you can see exactly what will be downloaded.
- Calibre connection sheet opens at full height so the new sync preferences fit without scrolling.

Accessibility
- Calibre format pills now meet WCAG contrast guidelines in both light and dark mode.
- Format filter and dual-format pickers explain their purpose to VoiceOver users.
- Sync preferences section follows system Dynamic Type and contrast defaults.

Localization
- All new strings translated across all 15 supported languages

I have one more question concerning the sync of calibre.
When I delete a book in calibre (for example a double book) the book is still visible in Justread. Is it correct that I have to delete it manually in the app or didn‘t I find the right setting?
And when I start reading a book it should leave the want-to-read-list automatically I think.

Hi Docuro, the quickest option is pull to refresh in library. It checks the actual directory and updates data. For that one book, it will be seconds.
Also, when book is deleted, the record is still visible in justread (until refreshed), but it will tell you that the book is not available, or maybe deleted, when you will try to open.

Or you can just delete the book, like you write, without pull to refresh.

If you start reading a book, it stays in want to read, this is pure manual, but can be of course automatic, if there will be a consensus to make it automatic.

I mean the sync with calibre. Justread tells me the library is synced with calibre but it does not realize that some books have been deleted from calibre in the meantime.

For example: I have book A, put in calibre some years ago and I forgot I have this book. Later I put again book A in calibre, but calibre didn‘t tell me that I already own this book. So I have the same book twice in calibre. Now I find the double book and delete one version in calibre. But after syncing calibre with Justread, I still have both versions of the book in the app.
Hope you understand what I mean.

AHA, so then you have to delete that book inside justread manually, calibre sync copies/updates but not deletes.
