As the thread starter, you can ask that people stay on topic and they should follow suit.

That would be much more productive than making barbed comments about the moderation, which is against the guidelines.

But as I'm here, I'll back you up and ask posters to stay on topic as the OP wants.

How about a Libra 3?

I received the email from Storygraph too. I am curious to see how it all works. I'm guessing that there will be a firmware update from Kobo in the coming weeks. I hope it eventually expands to include all books, since I have plenty of sideloaded books. It would be nice if it were to work with library loans, even though those books are only temporarily on my Kobo.

Goodreads integrates with Kindle, but did this happen before or after Amazon bought Goodreads? I ask because Kobo maybe thinks to buy Storygraph and this is a first step.

That would remove the whole appeal of an independent non-techbro lead tool.

After. Bought it in 2013, added in 2015.

Now we have the answer, it's an account based integration. So no tracking for sideloaded books:

*shrug* I'll take it. I buy 80-90% of my books through Kobo anyway. So I won't be able to track my progress when I work through my HumbleBundle collections. Oh well.

For books not purchased from Kobo, it is not useful. OTOH, since the majority of Kobo ereader users purchase a majority of their ebooks from Kobo, it may be of use to them. Eschew hasty generalization and anecdotal fallacy.

Considering the number of times, Kindle users have pointed to GoodReads integration as a reason for their choice of ereader suggests that there are a number of Kobo readers who would like a similar tool.
