As I've mentioned before, I actually like this series a teeny bit more than Gardner's much more famous Perry Mason series, although both are enjoyable if you can set aside the bits of male condescension that creep through as representative of the time in which they were written. In any case, Turn on the Heat is on sale right now in the US for $1.99.

I've read and liked only a couple of Chris Nickson's books, in a couple of his older series (older both in terms of when he wrote them, and the historical periods they are set in), but haven't read any of his Simon Westow series, which looks to be the series he's putting most of his effort on right now. But now both the first and the most recent (eighth) books in that series are on sale, so I might give it a try. Although my TBR list is long....

Death on the Norfolk Coast is the first in the (you guessed it) Norfolk Coast mystery series, by Jim Kelly, featuring Peter Shaw and George Valentine as the protagonists. It's Joffe's Free Friday book, which I am actually posting on Friday for once - even if it's almost Saturday in the UK right now. But usually free through the weekend. Oh, and as with many Joffe republished e-books, they've changed the title - this one was previously published as Death Wore White. I haven't read anything by this author, so can't offer an opinion, but per SYKM, one of his other books was a finalist for the 2002 New Blood Dagger Award. And the (presumably new) cover sure is pretty...

Acid Bath is the first in the Elena Jarvis series by Nancy (Fairbanks) Herndon. I remember reading this series, set in a thinly disguised El Paso, back in DTB days, and enjoying most of them. They have an bit of a quirky sense of humor, so if your sense of humor matches, you should enjoy them too. Acid Bath is on sale right now for $0.50 at Kindle US, but not anywhere else that I can find. Although I have price-matched a couple of these $0.50 things at Kobo US, but I've been having a few issues with their price-match thing recently.
