Question Fbink x y axis acting weird

I am new here, so cut me some slack
I am trying learn to develop shell scripts on my kindle pw3 to print text, and eventually I would like to use the kindle as a hub of sorts for my other projects but I am having trouble printing things with fbink. My kindle is jail broken, and i have some history with python and linux so im not completely new. The usual x and y axis are acting weird, and i need help figuring out how it works, because chatgpt isnt helping. I ran the following on scriptlets
fbink -x 0 -y 400 "test"
fbink -x 600 -y 400 "test"
Both appear in the same horizontal position (centeredish)
Also Y values do change position, but not precisely
I also ran more, but the x axis had little effect on the location
If you need any more details don't be shy

If you just want to print text on the screen, you could try eips [column] [row] "Whatever text" from a terminal.
Columns/row values are from 0 to 1 it seems
